Family Travels Baden Baden
We love Baden Baden...We first visited in 1990...then took our children there in 2001 for two nights and returned in 2002 for just a few hours (we got a crazy whim and drove from Alsace to Baden Baden after dinner one night) The Caracalla Therme Baths are really relaxing....beautiful, clean and reasonably priced for public admittance. We stayed in a wonderful little hotel which we highly recommend....spent the day exploring and shopping...and ended the evening with some street entertainment while sitting in the local beer garden. What is there not to like.

Some photos from our evening visit in 2002.
Caracalla Therme Baths are a modern take on the ancient Roman Baths that made this city famous. You can explore the indoor pools...then swim through the doorway to enjoy the outside. There are whirlpools, Hot baths, cold waterfalls, a strong swimming current along the outside pool and various other water features

Nearyby the town square, there is a park where the Oos River is diverted through town. The kids loved splashing around.

I remember going to the pool and how some parts were hot and other very cold. When I went to the Jacuzzi, there was so many bubbles my bathing suit got all puffy. Amanda, age 6
