Family Travels
Dingle Pennisula
We were prepared to fall in love with this area...but it fell
well short of our expectations.

Dingle town was a complete disappointment...it didn't
have much to offer beside tourist nick nacks and poor food
We don't even have a picture of it.

Our B&B was really nice and we do recommend that

The driving tour of the Dingle Pennisula as described in
Rick Steve's Ireland book is worth a day trip.  The
scenery is incredible.

We recommend staying in Tralee as a home base...we
liked this little town (even in the rain).  The town feels
much more genuine than Dingle.

The Rose of Tralee Festival in mid August is a national
event.  A visit during the festival is really special.

I am sure that if the weather
had cooperated we would
have enjoyed this day
more....
But like the pictures...it was
gray and dreary...not the
Emerald Isle we expected.
