| In 2006, we spent about a week in England....Four days in to Bath (where we abandoned the tour). We spend two great days in Bath. Then rented a car and headed to the Cotswolds' little villages in the countryside.When the villages are named Snowshill, Moreton-in-the-Marsh, Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold You know you are in for a treat. After leaving the Cotswolds, we stopped in Iron Gorge on the way to Wales. After leaving Wales....we took a all day scenic drive toward Scotland...stopping at Hadrian's Wall and Vindolanda. Overall, we loved the beauty of England. Contrary to what we heard and expected....the food was tasty, unusual and quiet wonderful. I believe you have to be adventuresome. The people were friendly, the food was great, the sights were incredible....just really cold.....really, really cold |
