We had the pleasure to spend seven nights
(courtesy of Marriott Rewards Program)
FREE  on the French Riviera

Cap d'Ail France (just east of Nice...is within
walking distance of Monaco--literally the soccer
stadium is across the street)

We spent our days in Antibes, Nice, Cannes,
Grasse, Monaco...all within easy driving
We had the pleasure to stay at the
Marriott in Cap d'Ail

We normally would not have splurged
on such a nice hotel...however, we
cashed in our Marriott Reward Points
for a seven night FREE stay.

At $350.00 per room (and we had two
rooms) we had a great deal.
We couldn't even afford the breakfast
(at $125 for five people) so we scouted
out the local grocery store and had
picnics on our balcony.
Fontvieille
a little port at the base of Monaco
(Prince Albert's yellow castle can be seen on the hill)

Nearby here is an excellent Italian Restuarant that we
ate at three times during our stay.
The Beach at Cap d'Ail

Beach is rocky.
Bring water shoes.
Our first day in the French Riviera

We spend the morning at the
beach.  In the afternoon, we
explored the Musee de
l'Oceanographique
(Jacque Cousteau Aquarium)
In the evening, we dined in
Fontvieille
